Cable CommunicationThe Cable Communication Department insures that the residents of Tampa are provided reliable cable television service, which meets industry technical standards, by the cable television franchisee. They also provide Tampa's residents with a broad range of public, education and government information via cable television at minimal cost, while maintaining programming with a high level of integrity through neutrality.
City AttorneyThe City Attorney is responsible for the legal activities of the City. City ClerkThe City Clerk's Office is responsible for recording City Council meetings; preparing City Council agendas; indexing local laws, ordinances, resolutions, agreements, and deeds; updating and distributing supplements to the City Code; and maintaining current appointments to City boards and committees, City and State financial disclosure statements and executive orders recording of official documents with appropriate agencies, and indexing of City cemetery burials.

Fire and Police PensionThe Fire and Police Pension Board is charged with the general administration and responsibility for the proper operation of the pension system and for making effective provisions of the Special Acts of the State of Florida. PurchasingThe Purchasing Department, as provided for in the City Charter, is responsible for all aspects of the City's centralized procurement process. Revenue and FinanceThe Department of Revenue and Finance is responsible for managing the City's financial matters. Primary functions include: administration, budgeting, planning, accounting, investment, licensing, utility accounting, pension, and grant administration. Solid Waste The Solid Waste Department provides safe, efficient and environmentally sound solid waste collection, disposal and recycling services for over 80,000 residential and commercial customers. StormwaterThe Stormwater Department is dedicated to providing solutions to local flooding problems, construction, maintenance, and retrofitting of drainage structures and storm sewers. Technology and InnovationThe mission of the Technology and Innovation Department is to provide the City of Tampa effective and efficient information management and integration services. WastewaterWastewater Department personnel collect, treat, and dispose of more than 50 million gallons of wastewater per day from over 98,000 customers in Tampa and its immediate suburbs. Sanitary treatment requires the careful removal of pollutants and pathogens from wastewater in a manner consistent with Federal, state, and local regulations so that the end product can be returned to the environment for natural recycling. Water The Tampa Water Department is responsible for producing and distributing fully treated potable water. |
