Historic Preservation - ApplicationRequesting approval from the Architectural Review Commission or the Barrio Latino Commission requires an application for a certificate of appropriateness. You may download the application forms, complete them and make an appointment with staff for submission. Many CA's can be issued by ARC/BLC staff, while others must be approved by the board at a public hearing. In addition to the application forms, the ARC Submission Requirements (PDF) or the BLC Submission Requirements (also see left side menu for submissions) explains the forms and what is required for public hearing. Also, look at the Fee Schedule (PDF) for the appropriate fees. These must be paid at the time of submission. Payment may be made in cash, checks, MasterCard and Visa. The application forms, submission requirements, reference table and fee schedule are PDF documents which can be viewed using Acrobat Reader. If you do not have Acrobat Reader installed, you must install it first.
