QuoteWire is an electronic bid notification tool that will be used by the City to solicit informal bids (for purchases less than $25,000). Before the implementation of QuoteWire, City departments obtained quotes in a manual fashion that was labor intensive and costly. QuoteWire also maintains the quote detail which allows a user to re-issue a quote without having to start over. This will result in a more stream-lined process that produces effective progress tracking and reporting mechanisms for better decision-making.
